Estonia is an epic place to practice photography. My own practice, dating back to 1999, has yielded tens of thousands of images. I’d like to say each exemplifies photographic perfection. Not even close. But, I can live with the snapshots in this project.
The portfolio presented on this site totals about 2,600 images. While each has meaning to the photographer, the project is likely better served by pruning this number down. So, the collection on this page consists of 372 select images.
Themes include Old Town’s architectural charm, the 2019 song & dance festival, land and seascapes as well as observational “street” photography. The intent is to offer an affectionate glimpse of a country and people I have grown to admire and love.
Why 372? Simply put, this project references the three-digit international dialing code assigned to Estonia. So, it only seems proper to pare it down to 372 photos.
