According to Festival organizers, over 1,000 choirs totaling 35,000 singers participated in the 2019 celebration. Over 80,000 spectators gathered on the hillside opposite the stage. But, for certain songs, it was 115,000 Estonian voices singing out in joyful unison. I’ve been blessed with some wonderful experiences in my life. But, the Estonian Song Festival qualifies as the most extraordinary event I’ve ever witnessed in person.
