This riveting demonstration of performance art is another example of the eclectic mix of programs hosted in Tallinn’s Town Hall Square. In this instance, the wonderful young ladies of Art Paradise were brilliantly backed by the metal band Monstera. Viewing opportunities across the square are optimized due to its natural slope with the stage situated at its lower end. This configuration also enhances acoustic quality. Strong musical performances are particularly benefited as sounds reverberate off centuries-old merchant buildings surrounding the cobblestone square. For this show, klieg lights projected outsized shadows of two flags waving against the buildings behind the stage reinforcing the mysterious nature of the performance.
