St. Nicholas Church (Niguliste kirik)

St. Nicholas Church is located at Old Town’s southern end and is named after the patron saint of fisherman and sailors. It was originally constructed at this site in the 13th century. Over the next several centuries it underwent numerous modifications and additions. In March of 1944 Soviet bombers severely damaged the church along with several buildings along Harju street and elsewhere in Tallinn. Since then it has been restored and currently hosts the Niguliste Museum.
